I go to that strip mall regularly and I've seen their menu and it's just too much. I don't like fries or battered things on a burger. Keep that stuff on the side.

Looks spendy but he said it was all good ingredients, and you won't leave hungry...$10 milkshakes though- Not sure how high I'd have to be to try
I think its the same owner as Burger 320.

IMO his burgers were way overpriced for the amount of food you got. Like 18$ just for his 420 burger is insane IMO. IIRC everything was ala carte so an individual meal could easily get you to 30$+

Burger: Ordered a double with all the fixings. Meat quality was great. They boast 3oz, never frozen Alberta Beef patties and the taste and quality showed. All the fixins were there but it felt like they shorted me on the ingredients. Feeling to this is Similar to modern steak’s attempt at making a burger. Although I’m the type that likes a generously loaded burger and It feels like chains like A&W and five guys do better jobs at loading their burgers. Still the patty quality shines through

Onion rings: Meh, Standard frozen rings probably from Sysco

Butter chicken poutine: sounds interesting on paper but execution was off. Fries were good but the cheese curds wasn’t melted at all. They also cheaped out on any chicken pieces in the butter chicken sauce. Butter chicken sauce did taste good. Decent amount of fries for a decent price point though ($6)

Kitkat milkshake: I was so hungry that I gorged on the food before touching the milkshake, so to be fair, I can’t give this an unbiased review. It ended up melted before I got to it (sunny day on their outside picnic table) It was alright. Kitkat pieces were nice and so was the chocolate. But it wasn’t a thick milkshake so I think they may put more milk than ice cream in their ratio. I’ll have to try this again for a fair review

Mango bubble tea: My gf had this and it was Just plain bad. Tasted like Powdered mango flavouring in blended ice with overcooked tapioca pearls. You could pick any other place in Calgary to do a better job. I think they were banking on a predominantly white, Sundance neighborhood to not know any better of what good bubble tea should taste like.

Overall: burger Meat patty was great and the toppings were fresh but stingy on the amount. If I were to go back, I may have to ask for extra toppings to feel like this was a decent amount. Their other stuff were average, but I beg you to not order their bubble tea. If I were to go back. It’ll just be for their burger and maybe a second shot at their shakes.
7/10
I'll try again, but I had hilariously disappointing timing when I went a few weeks ago. I walked in, order the burger and he said they were out of meat so I'd have to get chicken.

I got it, but wasn't excited I was there to try their burger. So he told me 6-7 mins, I walk to my car, send a couple texts, get out walk back in and there's like 6 burgers on the grill and he's just taking my chicken out. Turns out the guy walked in with the burger meat two seconds after I ordered.

The chicken sandwich review is that it was just okay. Passable. And the fries reminded me too much of those cheap Cavendish, coated crispy fries from the grocery store. In fact with the price of a 2kg bag at superstore I wouldn't be surprised if those are the fries.

Shake was delicious, though. So I'll go back one more time for an actual burger before giving a full review.

I’m all for a Battered and deep fried ingredient that’s layered in, but when it’s among 5 other similar ingredients, it’s too much.

You can’t simply layer fat (Cheese crust)
on top of fat (onion rings)
on top of more fat (mozzarella sticks)
on top of more fat (bacon)
on top of more fat (mac n cheese)
on an already fatty double Beef patty expect people to like it

At least the heart attack grill is willing to put in a slice of tomato and onion for every patty in their bypass burgers

Oh wait, I forgot he added micro greens. Yeah, that should do it

I've become a fan of onion rings on my burgers at home, but that's a lot to pile on a burger...

Crispy onions as a condiment was one of the mind blowing things I learned travelling around Iceland eating hot dogs.

There is a collaboration until the end of the month between Lil' Empire and Native Tongues called the Lil' Guesa and it's really good. Basically the Lil' Empire smash burger with jalapeno spread, chipotle mayo and pickled onions.

Can someone post the results of this once this airs? I'd love to try a new burger place.

I believe the burger in the picture is from Inglewood Drive In, and they do make a nice burger.

Burger Inn, maybe?

Perhaps you are thinking of Burger 320? I think they shut down their Kensington location but are still in Bridgeland.
Or there is Flipp n Burger in Kensington.

Inglewood was the one, lol. As soon as DowninFlames and Cheeves mentioned it I was like "aaahhh ****, that was it". I'm excited.

Inglewood makes a good burger, although the buns are a bit too big for my tastes. It’s a good value though.

Going to try my hand at homemade smashburgers this weekend but I need to find a weighted spatula to use. Any leads/suggestions here in Calgary on where to find one?

I’d check restaurant supply stores like Crown Food Equipment.
