I don't hate this Vancouver team. I think most of their core, Hughes, Pettersson, Demko, etc.. all seem like good kids who just want to win. This is in stark contrast to their previous core of the Sedins, Burrows, Kessler, Bieksa, who were largely pieces of crap who wanted to win via cheap shots and power plays.

The fans also seem humbled - and even more knowledgeable - this time. None of the talk about "elite" this and that.

That being said, I'm not sure I can put up with two decades of bragging about a Stanley Cup win.

The cup is probably going east or to Dallas this year, so I wouldn't worry about that thought (around WPG or EDM either)

Like the guy in Row 1 who probably needed a splint for his middle finger after holding it up so long while preds player was awaiting a faceoff ?

And seemed very happy about it as well.

One brain cell less that those who love to pound on the glass imo.

lol no kidding, they have sucked balls for a decade...that is why we don't hate them. I #### you not people were softening on the Oilers and feeling bad for them when they were a decade deep in suck, now look.

Also they had a dbag player with zero playoff experience chirping the Flames about holidays a week ago...chirping Kadri who has more rings than their franchise. I would take them over the Oilers but that is the lowest of bars. I'm pretty certain one of Dallas, Carolina, or Colorado is winning the cup anyway so I sleep pretty easy at night.

I'm having fun watching so far.

Well, as much fun as Sportsnet's issues let me. I'm tired of the video pausing for a second while the audio carries on and then either the video jumps to real time or has a 1 second fast forward. Only channels this happens on is Sportsnet. Otherwise I'm enjoying watching hockey without stressing about who is winning... well, the Oilers haven't played yet but you know what I mean. Go Kings!

Actively rooting against:
- Edmonton (losers)
- Toronto (funny if they lose again)
- Winnipeg (fans are trash, sorry Monahan).

Actively rooting for:
- Florida (Tkachuk and Bennett)
- Dallas (Tanev)
- Vancouver (if one Canadian team is going to make it, might as well be them)

Everyone else is boring or really only exists to stop a crappier team from making it further.

I enjoy the playoffs every year though. I just love the game.

I can support Winnipeg and Spaceman Spiff (?sp), slightly ahead of Vancouver, but never Edmonton or Toronto

If it wasn't for the media I wouldn't even mind Toronto that much. Gio deserves a ring. I don't mind Matthews as a star. But HNIC will be gross.

Im good with anyone but Edmonton
Vancouver I dont hate as much anymore - those days when they had Kesler, Burrows etc were more punchable than their team now

Why shouldn’t he limit the teams to as few as he wanted. He wanted to determine where he wanted to spend the next 8 years.

I choose Tanev and the Stars.

No cognitive dissonance involved.

Prettiest goal horn in the league too.

I rather have a better first than another late pick but I guess if they beat Nasvhille which they will, better they go to the 3rd and lose.

VGS / DAL is tricky - it's easier, and more likely, for VGS to win one round, than for DAL to win 3. However, the prizes aren't equal: if VGS wins, a 24 3rd becomes a 25 2nd. But if DAL makes the finals, we get an additional pick (3rd in 2026).

As for VAN, better that the 1st improves a couple spots than to have an early 4th become a late 3rd. So no need to root for VAN.

Yep. I cheer for everyone who plays Vancouver. Even if it's the Oilers.

Banned from having outdoor watch parties, haha.

I just cheer for the teams I like, we draft where we draft, my fandom has no bearing on that.

Go Bruins, Panthers and Preds

I don't need reasons to hate teams. I just need reasons to like them.

Every non-Flames team is a hated enemy until they have enough reasons to like them (or enough reasons to hate them more).

A perfect playoff story would be the Oilers being ousted in 4 followed by Drai asking out. For that reason I'm all in on the Kings bandwagon and I'm interested.
