I imagine all of this will be dismissed or made to seem like Trump just doing his job by MAGA followers and the likes of FOX.

#BunkerBitch should be the permanent number one trend on Twitter just to piss him off.

Yeah, when there was that shooting attack on Parliament Hill back in 2014, the Prime Minister's security detail told Stephen Harper he had to hide in a closet. I'm the furthest thing from a supporter of Harper, but I had no problem with that at all. I didn't see it as an act of cowardice but rather as a sensible thing for the head of government to do when his security staff told him he was in danger.

I guess so much of Trump's appeal with his supporters is based on the phony notion that he's some courageous strongman, so he can't do anything that runs counter to that ridiculous image he's built up for himself.

Would he really listen to the Secret Service? This man is a fullfledge hero. Remember he would run into a school to confront the shooter regardless of whether he had his own weapon.

"I really believe I'd run in there even if I didn't have a weapon," Mr Trump told a group of state governors gathered at the White House.
If he went into the basement of the White House, the only real reason was he was probably looking for that Pizzagate basement. There's no way he would be cowardly hiding from some protesters.

To be fair, it doesn't draw a connection between Trump supporting the camps and China helping him with the election.

It's very possible that, regardless of personal favours returned, Trump just actually supports the horrible concentration camps.

Trump supporting putting people in camps without getting anything in return should be even more concerning.

Ha, fair enough. In the world we find ourselves in, I took it to just be a factual description of the circumstances.

JFC, how can you possibly argue that outrunning a DUI on foot should be a death sentence? Clean it up, WO403, that’s insane.

I wish people would just ignore John Bolton and his book. He wouldn't testify at the impeachment trial so why let him make money off of what he knows?

Is there really going to be anything in it that's surprising anyway? We all know he's a piece of #### and his supporters either don't care or will just call Bolton a bitter liar.

I’d like to read the book solely for the inside dirt on Trump, but I may see if I can get it from the library inside of buying it (which I don’t want to do anyway).

Yeah, this is the best take on Bolton's book:

Quote:
Every insider account of Trump says basically the same thing. There are always a few new details, but the takeaway is always, always, that he is exactly who he appears to be in public. There are no hidden depths or strategies, no secret store of self-awareness or compassion.

As a result, Bolton's book is more revealing about Bolton than it is about Trump. And what it reveals is this: He had information the public needed to know during the impeachment trial. He held it secret so he could profit off it instead.
