Well, the season opener went its usual way. But the home opener in front of us! The Flames host the Canucks tonight on HNIC, and a noisy home crowd is sure to get the boys back in the win column!

Yes Peters will line match - he pretty much always does.
It was interesting to see that Tippett matched McDavid's line against Pettersson's, not Draisaitl's. And Pettersson's line was completely ineffective. However, that could simply have been rust - impossible to draw conclusions from one game.
My expectation would be that Peters will match Backlund to Pettersson. The question is: will he put Monahan's line, or Ryan's out against Horvat's? My guess would be that, other than getting Backlund out against Pettersson most of the time, he otherwise won't be too worried about it, and will focus on game management, not line matching.
