I use a dehydrator for dehydrating foods. Some user on CP once mentioned that dehydrated watermelon was a family favourite. I think that user claimed to process a dozen watermelons per summer or something like that.
I can attest that once watermelon is cheap, I process like half a dozen of them myself over the summer. Dehydrated watermelon is super strange in a good way. If I slice it to around 1/8th of an inch think and dehydrate it, the only way I can badly describe it is it's basically like the texture of saltwater taffy, but way different flavor profile.

We splurged on one of these
My review: decent microwave. AF function takes as long as non-convection oven but with smaller capacity. The Combo microwave-bake functions work well but require fidgeting to figure it out.

You can get a toaster, air fryer, and microwave…
Or just a toaster oven.
Don’t fall for big microwaves schemes! They teamed up with hood vents for a reason, to stay relevant!

We ditched our microwave years ago and haven't looked back. Some people find that completely shocking, and my sister-in-law has joked that we're living in Little House on the Prairie.
But I honestly haven't missed it at all. Microwaves are just mediocre at everything they do. Reheating food is always better in the oven. We defrost by leaving things in the fridge or on the counter for a bit, or leaving in a lukewarm sink of water. If you need to reheat your coffee, you should be drinking it faster or brewing a fresh cup.
We barely used it anyway, and it was old and big. We figured that we could always buy a new one if we missed it. 10 years later, I have not found a compelling reason to get one again.

Now that we have an air fryer all the microwave gets used for is popcorn and baked potatoes before they go on the bbq.

Same, we got rid of our microwave over 10 years ago and never looked back. We got a Breville toaster oven instead and it's been amazing. Once that goes (it's 10+ years old and we use is almost every day) we'll probably get another Breville with the air fryer built in.

We got the Ninja Foodie last year at Christmas (pressure cooker & air fryer) and it's not getting a much use as we expected. The obvious things go in there, like fries, chicken wings, etc. but other stuff we've tried in there just don't seem to work well. We usually overcook things too easily and find doing anything more than one dish in there just doesn't work (despite the "selling feature" of one pot for the whole meal).
Tell me what I'm doing wrong - I want to be a better air fryer user.

We use the heck out of our Instapot/ Air fryer combo from last Black Friday, so much so I've thought about picking up and Air Fryer in case I want to use both at the same time (which has come up)

Sobeys had a deal on the Salton digital XL version for $50 today. There was a big stack when I got there and only two left when I was done shopping. Must have been a good deal because I saw at least five staff buy them on their breaks…haha. I almost bought one based on this thread alone, but I had done enough damage at the liquor store’s Black Friday sales!

Haha, I ended up getting this one from Costco today. Seems a bit better rated and slightly bigger. We’ve been struggling with getting creative with veggies for the kids, so this will help for sure.

Between an airfryer and oven I have no use for a microwave.

I've only ever used a microwave for popcorn. My microwave also doubles as a convection oven and we still only use it for popcorn.

I'm more of a toaster oven guy. There really isn't a meal I typically make (Pizza, Lasagna, Potato casserole, chicken bites, etc) that requires the big oven, and I like being able to change the rack height (i.e. to the bottom shelf to make crust crispy, or broil on the top rack to make top-cheese more golden/crispy-brown. Every time I see an air-fryer, I just think it's too small.
