Lol, anything closer to a death knell for a coach than an extension?

The leafs can just pay me not to coach, to save themselves the embarrassment.

I like Craig Berube. I'm disappointed that he will likely be the next head coach of my second most hated team

Honestly hard to blame him when the team thought it would be good idea to have four forwards making 40 million and your best defenceman is morgan Reily. 2nd best defenceman is McCabe?

Smart thing would have been to trade marner when they should have known paying 4 forwards that much was just too much and tried getting some solid D returns.

Funny thing is....im really not convinced its a coaching issue.

Just to soft as a roster...particularly up front.

But every GM gets to hire at least one, usually 2, of their own choices for HC.

Berube, should he be that choice, wont fair much differently IMO because of the construction of that club as it is now.

I think Trelivings biggest weakness with the Flames was his God awful coaching hires. Hopefully it's the same with the Leafs

Keefe seems like a pretty good coach based on his track record at several different levels.

I want Toronto to get the full Treliving experience. Don't be learning from your mistakes now Brad.

Was it Chixdiggit that had a song about Craig Berube?

Also, HaHa Leafs

Fired with a 2 year contract that hasn't started yet... The Treliving special.

Have fun in Pittsburgh.

I guess we are going to eventually learn if Treliving's bad coaching hires were because of a limit on spend.

How many coaches will Treliving go through in his career ?

Funny thing is Berube was fed up with guys like Thomas and Kyrou. You’re getting the same thing with Marner and Nylander and to an extent Matthew’s.

Not sure what he’s supposed to do with Simon Benoit and Morgan Reilly as his top pairing.

To be fair, Kyrou would frustrate every coach in the league. Guy has elite talent but is a notorious floater. Could be a top 5 offensive player if he cared.

Keefes a great coach. Roster issue, but again Treliving fails to recognize that.

Is he though? I know there's a lot more to coaching than speeches but that pre-game speech before game 7 was anything but inspiring.

I always wonder how useful inspiring coach's speeches are at the highest levels of sport.

If Bissonette was right, and Berube is the next head coach, that clip will live forever.
