The fact that panic buttons had been removed/destroyed from some senators rooms really didn't leave much room for doubt that there were people working on the inside laying the groundwork, but it's good to get confirmation.
These messages also seem like stuff that are going to make conspiracy charges a slam dunk.
The Justice Department revealed new charges against a Texas man who allegedly participated in the Capitol attack and posted online death threats against Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and a US Capitol Police officer.
Garret Miller of Texas faces five criminal charges stemming from the Capitol insurrection, including trespassing offenses and making death threats. Miller allegedly tweeted, "assassinate AOC," according to court documents.
He also said the police officer who fatally shot a Trump supporter during the attack "deserves to die" and won't "survive long" because it's "huntin[g] season."
Prosecutors said in newly released court documents that Miller posted extensively on social media before and during the attack, saying a "civil war could start" and "next time we bring the guns."
I mean, as much as that's funny, the notion that they sue the guy for over a billion dollars just for lying about them is fairly absurd. The whole company isn't worth that much.

I don't think they are going to get a billion dollars from Rudy, but the company's annual revenues are 100 million. It's pretty fair to say that this fabricated controversy has put all their future earnings at risk. It doesn't seem that far out of the ballpark to cite 1 billion in damages.

Yeah, although they won't get a billion - even if he had it - they will have to go through a complete rebrand because the reputation of voting device companies is pretty well correlated with their bottom-line.
I doubt they settle, too - and I'm sure Fox and Trump are both up next.

Fox/Newsmax/OAN all put out those bizarre retractions. Not sure if that gets them off the hook or not.
More on the black lady who was assaulted in an LA Trump rally
This kind of s*** is why the GOP needs to convict Trump and stop him from ever holding office again. They won't actually do it of course, because they're a bunch of spineless corrupt weasels. But hey, a guy can dream.

If some MAGA hat wearing kid can sue CNN for $275 million, then I don't think Dominion is out of line.

Hopefully they had the time to sit down with that man and explain to him what 'Treason' really means.
Technically I think they committed sedition and not treason. Sedition is an act to threaten or encourage others to undermine the authority or overthrow the government in place. Something as simple as flag burning in the United States can lead to sedition charges. Treason is where you actively engage with another nation state to do harm toward, betray, or overthrow the government of your country. Turning over state secrets to Russia or China would be considered a treasonous activity. While I would like to see all these clowns to end up in prison, they should be there for sedition. I don't see treason charges sticking.
