yeah, I'll take it. Sucks for him (and United, given he's been a reliable performer all year), but a metatarsal is much better news than what everybody had feared initially.

I thought Upamecano was good? Based off this tie he's absolute ass.

oh come on. United are killing themselves in this tie.

Everybody will jump at Maguire there, and rightly so ... but what a braindead pass from De Gea too.

De Gea is undoubtedly an outstanding shot stopper, but he's below average or worse at almost every other aspect of keeping. United would be wise to let him walk instead of giving him an extension, so extension it will be.

that was a masterclass in shooting yourself in the foot. They should have killed the tie in the first game, but completely gave it away with those own goals towards the end. Then they gift Sevilla the early lead like that today ... just terrible all around. And on top of that, they were bloody awful tonight in general. Little movement, sloppy passing and second best in terms of intensity too. They missed Fernandes badly, but that can't be an excuse. Others had to step up and failed miserably.

And yeah, I'll echo the "let De Gea walk" sentiment. He's still a great shot stopper, but he severely lacks in other areas. It's time to turn the page there.

I’ve finally resigned myself to letting DDG go

First I heard of this. They are suspending him BECAUSE of the trip? Or some other transgression?

The amount of money involved in this Qatari-PSG-Saudi love triangle is just staggering.

Probably best for him, pressure in England would be over the top.

After the Mbappe saga, I won't believe it until he's played two dozen games for the team.

Oh I love how the Oil States are buying teams. It just adds a whole other spice to life.

He very much willingly sold his soul to the Saudis while the Qataris still owned it. Now the Qataris feel like a jilted lover.

They still have Mbappe and honestly he's probably going to be a bigger star than Messi once he plays in England or Spain.

either way, this Saudi/Qatar thing has the potential to be absolutely hilarious. PSG already had him do an apology that looked like a hostage video, and there's also this:

I always find this so funny.

You sold your soul buddy. You put a price tag on it and you took the money. You cant complain when the new owner makes demands upon it.

And frankly, ya didnt sell it to some very nice people...
