Jays will have a game in Minnesota May 2nd, Cleveland May 3, and Tampa May 4.
That's pretty rough. Not sure why not just do a DH tomorrow

Well, if tomorrow's is also rained out there are two positives.
We avoid Kluber, and we fast forward 2 days on Donaldson's DL stint.

Sucks because they are playing well, but every game they miss now without JD is a game they might play later with JD.

Now as set vs KC, definitely need to come away with a series win in this one.

This year has way more PPD games than I remember in years past - I wonder if that is going to cause scheduling issues down the road? Seems like all the northern teams without domes have at least 1 or 2 PPD games so far.

I wouldnt be surprised if the game is PPD. They have closed the CN tower, and most of downtown Toronto's sidewalks due to falling ice.

Vlad Jr is the ‘Eastern League Player Of The Week’.
https://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/ml...e-player-week/
Quote:
The Toronto Blue Jays super prospect has started the 2018 campaign with a bang, slashing .361/.419/.639 with two home runs and 12 RBIs through his first nine games at double-A New Hampshire. That monster slash line earned him Eastern League player of the week honours.

First week of AA ball for Vlad = player of the week for the entire league lol
Seriously. He could very likely be the Jays starting 3B next season.

Hole in the roof, and snow/slush falling into right field, but according to Scott Mitchell, they expect to have it patched and the game should go on as planned. Ryan Tepera says the players have been told its a 90% probability they are playing.

Sources telling me the game has been called off due to safety reasons (roof). Traditional doubleheader tomorrow. Nothing official from #BlueJays

Toronto Blue Jays @BlueJays
Tonight’s game has been cancelled due to inclement weather causing damage to our roof. We apologize to our fans for this inconvenience. Further info for those with purchased tickets to the game will be shared shortly. Tomorrow’s game will be a 3:07 p.m. traditional doubleheader

Does traditional doubleheader just mean they play back to back without the crowd changing? As in the first games starts at 3:00pm (EST) and then the second game starts whenever the first game finishes?

Yup. If it was a day-night double header, the games would probably be 1:05 and 7:05.
Smart decision by the Jays too, since they would have been going up against the Leafs tonight and the Raptors tomorrow, so crowds were going to be small. Probably mostly just the diehards that were going to go to both anyway. So nicer to not force split ticketing and a 2-3 hour wait between games onto people.
