Well apparently back on?

Edit: Ornstein confirmation now. Four years makes perfect sense for a deal, he can go back to the PL for the record after year three.

I just think that's naive in today's world of sport

We have players nowadays who fully admit to not even loving the sports they play, simply viewing it as a job

Ideally everyone would love to be Ryan Giggs (on the field, very clearly on the field and not off) and be a 1 club man who literally wins everything

But in all the different careers available, we know that for plenty of players its $$$$ that matters, its trophies for some, how can it not be expected individual glory is for others?

Some players choose to play for a mid table prem club over one that can challenge for trophies outside one of the top 5 leagues, how's that any different

Holy crap, good player and all but this seems pretty extreme for a fee. Kudos to Brighton, this is why they are so well run

I'd rather have that 25m for the tyler Adams fee and have just added it to this caicedo bid if I was chelsea

110 mil is insane for someone with very little experience, but I guess that’s what happens when you are desperate.

Fee aside, on paper he is the exact type of player we needed.

Shearer said recently he values his record more than his PL title.

Wtf, Pool UK record bid £110m for Caicedo, yet lots of noise Jude was leaning their way for the longest time, but Pool wouldn’t pay….

Bold.

There are indeed some players like that - in any large sample, you’ll find outliers.

Like Johnny Gaudreau and hat ever he wants out of life over winning a Cup.

We’ve all seen these outliers, players that insist they take the penalties - do nothing but poach up front, lose a ball and don’t track back.

But here’s the thing, when all is said and done, if your primary objective in a team sport is individual glory and in your pursuit of that you win nothing. You’re a loser.

if there's one player who shouldn't be blasted for going and winning an easy title, it's Kane. He's given the Spurs world-class service for many years, he deserves to win something. And yeah, it's a worse league, but who knows what they can do in the CL.

The Caicedo thing is fascinating. Ton of money, but Liverpool had to do something ... and they did get MacAllister on the cheap. 145m for the pair certainly feels like decent business. Interesting midfield overhaul with them and Szoboszlai, for sure.

I'd imagine Chelsea will sign Lavia now.

Scenes when the Saudis come over the top with a £200 million bid and £100 million a year in wages so neither team gets him.

This is one of the craziest transfers I’ve ever seen. Now we’ll go crawling back to Southampton with our 50 mil.

Honestly, my only real issue with the Kane transfer is leaving it until now. I know you had to have a bid that made sense, and that takes time, but Levy should've set a deadline earlier and stuck to it. The other thing I would've liked to have seen is some deals lined up for this eventuality.

But otherwise, you take the money and send him abroad. No chance you let the contract run down and let him leave for free to a PL team. I would imagine there's a buyback clause in the Bayern deal anyway.

I don't really care if he goes and wins the Bundesliga. If they win CL, that would be a good outcome for Kane and probably cement his legacy.

Levy is a manchild and glad that is all over.

Watch this be the moment Dortmund figures their crap out and stops choking away league titles.

Sad we never got the Sane, Mane, Kane front line at any point. So close

Dortmund have had a horrible window ... they look significantly worse than last season IMO. They had one shot and absolutely choked, I'd imagine that window has closed for another few years at least.

Well, if Buendia had to blow out his knee, I'm glad it happened before the transfer window closed rather than after...

Took three whole minutes for the alien to score, maybe he's slipping this year?
