Hah personally, I hope Tom Wilson is out for a long time. Nothing made me happier to see him get what he deserves

Whats bush league is wanting a player like Tom Wilson on your team. I don't even want him in the league. When it comes to his injury, the longer he is off the ice, the better, for the whole league.

That was the exact same hit that Wilson delivered the other night and got nothing for.

Sorry he hit his head on the ice. I guess.

Hope the Flames make the playoffs and Vegas doesn't, because I know Treliving would go out and get Reaves for a run.

He was inches away from being a Flame this past summer.

Not a big fan of the way Reaves plays, but that's a little karma going Wilson's way. Sucks when it happens to you, eh Tom?

After fines & suspensions failed to change Wilson’s judgement, I’m curious to see if him being a victim will trigger an epiphany.

Man, this is a classless take. You sound like an Oilers fan talking about Tkachuk.

Hope Wilson’s ok, that looked ugly.

That said, live by the sword, die by the sword. Hopefully this wakes Wilson up a little bit and he cleans up his game. There’s always someone bigger and badder out there.

If you look at it closely Wilson was basically attempting to charge (or step up on) Carrier, but his own player got in the way so he pulled off

There's more than a little bit of karmic retribution in the hit that concussed Wilson, but Reeves will definitely be sitting for a couple games after that.

the only failure is that players don't properly do up their damn chinstraps.

If the union and the league actually cares about player safety, they need to address it.

The strap popped open.

Google a picture of Wilson. He doesn’t wear the Todd Bertuzzi strap.

Would have been nice if the Flames could have signed Reaves last offseason, likely that would have meant that Neal wasn't signed and it would have given the Flames some toughness when playing teams like the Oilers and their cavemen, Lucic and Kassian.

3 hits. Predatory and premeditated? 20 games?

I guess the question is that if it wasn't Wilson on the receiving end, and say Backstrom, would the fan reaction be different? Of course.

I guess the thought is that even though Wilson was in need of some tough love like this, it doesn't get Reaves off the hook. His having to police the league, because the league can't police itself, puts everyone in an uncomfortable situation as what to do next.

I say he gets a call and a fine.

All three - including the blindside - were fairly clean hits. If you look at the third hit - perhaps the most controversial - Wilson had just done a qucik one touch pass.

So it's perhaps the hit is a bit late. But it's otherwise clean. Even if it wasn't late, Wilson is still watching the puck and still gets blindsided.
