Duel of the Fates hitting was awesome but Joel Edgerton returning as Uncle Owen was a nice surprise, excellent actor

Please, not too much Tatooine (lol).

They cranked it up to 11 with DoTF in the first trailer.

I think the best for me was the kinda subtle addition of Vader's breathing right as the title card came up at the end. This is hopefully going to be awesome.

They're obviously holding a lot of their cards close go the chest.

I'm glad for that. Save the best bits for the live viewing experience.

Edit: and John Williams returning to compose for this show alone should get any cinema appreciator on board! What a legend.

Also I put spoilers in the thread title so we can openly discuss each episode, any extended universe talk, any "guesses" in regards to plot or characters can kindly go away

Ya that looks good. I'm excited. The music alone how they are weaving in prequel and OT stuff, very well done.

Loved it. Having the Grand Inquisitor was a nice touch.

Ewan was one of the most perfect pieces of casting in the Prequels.

Please give us real Palpatine and not the crap palpatine from the Sequels.

They need to sit James Earl Jones and Ian Mac in a booth and get a few hours of audio out of each of them so that their authentic characters can live on through deepfake or a Vader body actor for years to come.

Disney + has a good way to keep all us dorks as permanent subscribers by alternating Marvel and Star Wars show seeming in perpetuity.

It's weird to be really excited for what's essentially a direct follow-up to the much maligned prequels, but here we are! Looks great.

he was a great casting choice but just like everyone else couldn't overcome the junk script

I feel way better knowing that it will be not-George writing his lines this time around.

In comparison to the new disney era trilogy the prequels are masterclasses in film making. One thing they did do well was expand the universe pretty enormously IMO.

Are their good things to take away from them? Sure. Are they good movies? Absolutely not.

Episode III was the best of the bunch in the Prequel's and I like that film even as a standalone, also as others have said, I'd happily take that trilogy over the Disney Trilogy and it's not even close.

"Somehow.... Palpatine returned"

Can't wait for this show!

The prequels, like Spider-Man 3, have retroactively become good movies just for the memes.
