Assuming they don't give Kim and Saul a happy ending in Omaha, I'm going to guess that Kim dies somehow taking out Lalo with her.
I really don't think Kim dies anymore. One, it's too obvious, and that's not a Vince Gilligan trait. Two, I don't see how we get the Saul from Breaking Bad if Kim dies. Seems like at this point that would absolutely break him. I think Kim ends up being the first recipient of the vaccum repair services and end up reuniting with Jimmy post-BB. After that however I have no idea, I don't know if Jimmy is the type of character that deserves a happy ending

I am more optimistic about Kim's chances of surviving now. Nacho and Howard are dead. Lalo will most likely die (probably at the hands of Mike or Gus) since Gus brags to Hector in BB that everyone else in the Salamanca family is dead. I think it's unlikely they kill off all four non-BB main cast members.
When Jimmy and Kim got the black book from the vet, she took a long look at the vaccum cleaner card. I think she's in hiding or in jail during BB.

Maybe she ends up being his lawyer if he gets caught during the Gene timeline.
When Saul shows up on Breaking Bad, he initially thinks Walt and Jesse are hitmen from the cartel sent by Lalo. So, whatever Lalo's fate is, it appears that Saul will think he's still alive by the end of Better Call Saul.

I'm sure at this point Jimmy will always fear Lalo even if he sees his dead body in person, he's his boogeyman. I doubt Gus would be so cocky about Hector being the only Salamanca left if he wasn't 100% positive that Lalo was dead
Yes, but they were asking how they swapped the photos after the PI handed over the "real ones".
I didn’t notice either, I don’t think Howard just left him alone in there, but he might had a few envelopes with him and did some slight of hand before they parted ways.

Thats what I thought as well.
Was hoping they would show it...even as a flashback would have been nice.
Weird 6 week or so pause in the release schedule before the final 6 episodes are released in July and August. I get waiting until September or something for ratings or whatever -- to delay showing episodes in early summer until mid summer seems odd? Oh well. Can't wait for the final episodes.
My concern for Kim's well being remains undiminished. We now know why we never saw Chuck or Nacho or Howard in BB. It's not a trend that bodes well for Kim or Lalo.

My one hope is that they leave out the Madrigal Electromotive aspect from Fring’s storyline. In retrospect, it seemed like a weak point of BB. Their involvement in a giant meth lab didn’t really make a lot of sense. It’s supposed to be a multi-billion dollar, 3M / Siemens kind of company, these executives are all obviously highly paid. Their involvement is hard to understand.

My guess is that Mike and his guys are watching the whole thing unfold right now at Saul's apartment. Not sure if Lalo will force them to act, but I'm leaning to no, and Saul and Kim survive this encounter.
I figured that they would have to wrap up some threads that were not in Breaking Bad
Spoiler!
Didn't see Nacho killing himself in the desert... also didn't see Lalo killing Howard until Lalo brought the gun out... Felt really bad for Howard who seemed like a pretty decent guy
I don't have a lot of sympathy/empathy for Kim or Jimmy though... never understood their obsession with bringing down Howard...
Also noticed no flash forwards in the first 7 episodes
Amazing last season though; everything is coming into focus like the last season of Breaking Bad...

They had to bring down Howard to get the Sandpiper settlement done. They are doing it for the old people who would be dead by the time HHM went through the fight.

thanks...i'd have to go back and take a look to see, as it didn't seem like it was anything but spiteful and personal
similar to Breaking Bad, with the protagonists not being particularly likeable people...
man, do I envy people who haven't seen either BCS or BB who can watch the entire thing in chronological order. If you were to release BCS and then BB in one package, you have the greatest show in TV history by some margin.
