Perron shouldn’t be playing another minute of this game. 2 dangerous plays with obvious intent to injure.

If you believe the reports after the trade, it had less to do with not wanting to go to Calgary, and more about him not wanting to leave Toronto. He knew the rumours of the Flames being interested and put Calgary on his list because he figured it was a high chance. Only so much room on the list and Colorado came out of nowhere to acquire him.

Too bad though. Kadri would add a lot to the Flames.

It worked out in his favour because he’s better off in Colorado than Toronto. But yeah, him on the Flames would have been amazing. Lindholm, Kadri, Backlund down the middle. Perhaps that would have allowed Treliving to trade Monahan when he still had some value left and get some more depth in return. Could you imagine Tkachuk and Kadri on the same line? The only person missing would be Marchand and life would be hell for every other team lol.

Kane and Kadri with hattricks in back to back nights. I guess karma and the hockey gods no longer exist... They're long gone...

Very surprising Tampa swept Florida. Was a toss up for me who would win this but didn't see a sweep. That's got to be incredibly disappointing for the Panthers to win the presidential trophy but then get swept in the second round by their state rivals.

Flames are the final 8, if we lose this round we are equal with Florida. There's no final 7.
I'm willing to give teams that get to game 7 a tad more credit than teams that get swept.

And once again a reminder that the winners of Trade Deadline Day rarely translates into real success.

Swept by their state rivals who were playing without their #1 center. Even worse.
