Have to give credit to Cage as well, was just a fun, crazy movie. Would recommend.
The first half of that movie was solid, the second.......was meh

That movie was so fun. It was insane.

I remember watching it thinking: "Is...this real? Did they do this?"

Oh its real. Pascal is amazing, especially as a foil for Cage. Its ridiculous.

Unbearable Weight was awesome. It a tribute to Cage’s career, not just with the many references but feels like watching a bunch of different Cage movies. Starts off more dramatic and cerebral before turning into a comedy and finally ending with crazy over the top action.

Civil War is so, so good. What an incredible movie. Really ####ing scary though, because it doesn't feel too far away from where we are now. That last 30 or so minutes was intense, the same level of anxiety as I felt with movies like Dunkirk and Saving Private Ryan.

Also, I'm 100% a Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst fangirl.

I think A24 might be my new favourite production company. Everything they're putting out just kills it.

I give A24 a ton of props just for taking chances on a ton of original work. Even if some are misses, the hits are great!

You can tell they are getting bigger budgets, and i hope they dont fall into the trap of risk aversion. Continue to make those under 50M (most are under 10M) and take some risks.

*splits hairs*

For Civil War A24 is the distributor not the production company. But for other released they're the production company too.

All that being said they've had some quotes recently about wanting to branch into more mainstream faire.

Civil War was pretty good. Definitely hooks you and keeps you hooked. No idea how realistic how the journalists moved/interacted with the soldiers was but it sure looked legit and impressive.

Probably my only complaint is that it was pretty standard fare, I wasn't surprised by anything, didn't really feel it was trying to say anything different. Or maybe what it was trying to say didn't come across well enough.

Still really well done and worth seeing.
