I'd be changing something on the PP every other week until something clicked.
Embarrassing to just roll out the same idiocy game after game that you know has a greater chance of getting scored on than scoring.

He's paired with Pachal on the list.

I am not sure why everyone thinks Sharky is so bad defensively. He's a good penalty killer and he breaks up plenty of plays 5v5. Megan Mickelson had a really good breakdown of his defensive game and said she (can't remember her exact words) didn't feel as anxious? when he was on the ice with Huby. That he would play that high F3 and had the wheels to get back and break up plays.

But the Flames are still doubling down on the same mediocre core, amirite?

I noticed the Tkachuk,Pavelski and Marshechaullt on both those lists too. Brett Hull never used to race up and down the ice, he would just float in and shoot it in the net when the speed demon Adam Oates had blinded everyone with his speed
This quote is perfect from Jagr.

So what? Like 20 games out of 200ish.
Maybe it works out and Calgary knows something Jersey didn't, but he definitely doesn't have the pedigree of a 1C.

Neither did Lindholm in Carolina.

I'm not convinced that Sharangovich will be a permanent centreman in the NHL, but he was a full-time C in the KHL. At least he has two seasons worth of pro experience doing it and isn't fully starting from scratch.
He has never been good at faceoffs though. His NHL FO win % is abysmal and he was 46% on 872 faceoffs in his two KHL seasons.
It would be interesting to see Zary tried as the centreman between Huberdeau and Sharangovich.
In that video of all 39 Kuzmenko goals from last season, Pettersen was doing a lot of the setups. Maybe Kuzmenko would work better with a player like Kadri who will carry the puck, gain the zone, and open up shooting lanes/put the puck near the net

Zary is no great shake in the face-off circle, either. When Kadri gets tossed, it's Pospisil who steps in.

Think it’s just a stopgap for now.
My guess is Markstrom and Tanev are leaving soon and they will try and pick up a center. If they do though we’ll have a surplus of wingers.

It's not a question of knowing something that Jersey doesn't, it's just circumstance. Jersey is loaded at C, so Sharangovich was a winger. The Flames are getting very skinny at C, so guys are going to get a look.

Yes, I understand that guys are going to get looks at different positions, the lack of depth is what created space for the young guys this year.
The post I was responding too asked if Yegor played much C.
