I wonder if the IMAX screen is still open? I remember watching Ironman 3 there. They converted to showing regular movies on it and it was a great bargain.

I used to do the opening / closing speeches at that IMAX theatre before / after the shows; this was when they still only did IMAX-produced documentaries in the early 2000s. Thanks for the throwback!

Which is to say the projector is long gone, but the theatre itself is still there and still used to show movies with a conventional projector.

Yeah, but you have to be pretty careful.
The Canadian Blood Services workers have been known to sneak up on theater people in the dark and just start siphoning.

Very similar to my own experiences.
What the hell is going on with Chinese places downtown? They're dropping like flies lately.

I should be clear, Canadian Blood Services are a great organization and do important work, donating blood is great.
Its just that me and them are non-Sympatico.

The owners are aging out and the last thing the owners wanted their kids to do is run a restaurant/bakery/grocery store.

The downtown 7-11 on 4th and 4th across from Shell has closed.
It was a fantastic location, the only long-opening convenience store you could reach by +15 in the winter months without going outside.
The owners reportedly were losing $700/day from theft and homeless people cornering their staff and threatening violence.
