I struggle to identify a poor JC movie.
Ironically, maybe only his final one, Wagons East.

Also, I want to mention the awesomeness that was his performance in Space Balls since nobody else has.

He really helped tie all the different characters together in Cool Runnings as well. Movie wouldn't have the same charm without him.

I loved Mayor Tommy Schanks and his fire side speeches.

One of his lesser known movies was Summer Rental

It's the darn cooler! Thing broke off again! I'm waiting for a part from Minneapolis!

The day of the airport shooting was pretty cold, but the day they filmed at COP it was something like +12C, similar to the actual olympics, but we all had to wear full on winter gear and were sweating like crazy. All the snow around the track was foam shot out of fire hoses onto everything haha.

I love Cool Runnings. Its everything. Its Calgary, its John Candy its the Jamaicans, my mom was an extra, and as a kid I competed in Luge and Bobsled so I've done that run.

My mom and Aunt used to volunteer at COP so I've seen it all, I've been to the top of the Ski-Jump (I did not go down it), I competed in downhill skiing for years but I'm not insane, I never went off the Jump.

What a great movie.

I will always remember chatting with one of my old accounting Professors, he was from Ghana and the U of C convinced him to come and teach here, but they courted him in June and he showed up in December to "What. The. Fata??"

And I told him to watch that movie.

"You people are insane."

Yeah I can't believe people are having to defend Cool Runnings.

It is an exceptional movie.

And not to be left out, I have two buddies that are extras, German Bobsled team.

Its a movie you can throw on anytime and enjoy. Love it.

And in my opinion, it was one of Candy's best. Because he could be funny, silly and then serious. It really showed his range along with a dry sense of humour.

Just all of it was great.
