It sounds similar to the song " Jotun" and " Gyroscope" by In Flames to me, could be another song too...they are definitely ripping off In Flames.

And to think they have a new CD coming out this year too!

Can't wait to hear the new full length! Has anybody seen the Wacken live CD/DVD? Gonna go out and buy that one ASAP.

Yeah, those are pretty close. Maybe i'm just imagining things, but i could almost guarantee that' a direct rip off from an in flames song.

I could be completely wrong with this, but Brush the Dust Away? After the first chorus? At least I can't stop thinking of it, when I hear that...

Yeah, I bought it a while back. I usually hate live albums, but that one is amazing. Definitely worth picking up. DVD is identical to the cd, it's the concert video.
Like Fire has to be my favourite song on there.

For those that don't know... the new Metallica album has fully leaked in 320 kbps glory.
It's really good in my opinion. The snare stands out way too much in my opinion, but its still a great album.
And this is coming from somebody who really liked their first 4 albums, but wasn't too pleased with their last 4.

Rumor has it a shop in France started selling the album already, it's not supposed to be out until Sept. 12th. Wonder if they'll find themselves with a lawsuit from Lars?

really? i've heard a few tracks being played on Hard Attack on Siruis and wasn't at all impressed. sounded too much like that st. anger garbage for my liking, no real flow or memorable riffs to the songs
i did like the Black album and would have easily accepted if they had returned to that style, but they seem intent on trying to reinvent themselves with every new album now

I've also given the new Metallica album a listen, and it is nothing like St. Anger, aside from still just a bit too much snare drum. This album is seriously kick ass, and you can shades of all of their albums on it, especially the first four. There are some really heavy riffs, Kirk's solos are back, and Lars sounds like a maniac on drums.
It's a good album, I highly suggest listening to a few more songs before you chalk it up to another St. Anger.

Got my tickets this morning for the show on December 4. Only a few bands I'll pay good money to see. They are definitely in my top 5.

Do you guys think it will be a "concert in the round"? I saw them in Edmonton in 2004 and that is what the stage set-up was in Rexall.
I assume the Saddledome can accomodate this?

The last 3 shows I was at were in the round. The tickets I bought would be behind the stage if it is not in the round so I am keeping my fingers crossed :P
