On the bright side, he just got a mulligan on his second poor coach hiring.

Wow that was fast. I think Flames management deserves some credit. Right thing to do, but in some ways it must have been difficult.

Crappy situation. This is the right move. Hope the Flames now come together and put some winning streaks together.

good. Seriously shocked and disappointed by all of this, just a sad situation all around. Glad the Flames did the right thing and acted quickly.

What an ugly season this has been. So disappointing. Hopefully a new coach can at least steady the ship and get the team focused for the rest of the year.

Good riddance, Peters.

Ward should be the head coach in my opinion. No need to bring in Daryl or Babcock at this stage.

Kind of lucky that non of the ACs were Peters' guys (unusually).

They really had no choice given the gravity of the situation. Hopefully a clean start for the team and players now helps them going forward. Have to wonder if there was some of the tactics applied to the team this year that were affecting performance.

Treliving tells TSN that nothing has been determined yet

Frank Seravalli @frank_seravalli
#Flames GM Brad Treliving tells #TSN that no determination has been made on Bill Peters' job status at the moment. Peters is not on the ice for practice.

I feel like they have to follow thru now. Or maybe Tre is denying because they haven’t finished the paperwork yet or something.

Good! Swift, clinical removal.

EDIT: Or not? =/

Conroy on the ice?

I'm guessing Ward runs the show for the rest of the year with Huska and Gelinas helping out. I don't think they'll bring in a full time coach until next year. Guess we'll see.
