This much angst for a 5'11 12g/ 12a left winger making $5 mil US/yr . Where would he slot in (the third line)? If ownership had a veto they made the right decision didn't they?

I'm glad this didn't work out. The Flames need an upgrade in the top 6, but there's also something fundamentally wrong with their top 6. It's not the place a complimentary player will thrive.

They need a guy who generates his own offence. I'm not sure Zucker is that. Guys like Kadri, Hall, and Stone, yes.

Totally agree. Just more mediocrity in an already uninspiring group. Don't get me wrong I am die hard Flames but 50-75% of this season's play has been unwatchable (for me).

Yea I personally am glad we didnt trade for a middle/bottom 6 left shot winger.

Its literally what we have the most of internally already..

Mangiapane, Dube, Bennett, Lucic, Reider..

When you toss in Backlund who has been playing wing for a while now it's even worse.

Gaudreau and Tkachuk as lefties makes the acquisition even more baffling.

Hall and Kadri make sense as Hall is a top winger in the league and Kadri is a legit 2nd line center.
