There's still room for a Montreal voter to not even list him on his ballot.

Technically (in terms of GP), perhaps. But Lanny will always be remembered as a Flame (again, IMO). The fact that he stayed around the city/organization after his career doesn't hurt either.

My heart and all logic says Iggy is a shoe-in for the HoF first ballot. However, something tells me the easterners, namely the people from Quebec, will defy that. He's been robbed before! However, no one can take away that he will be HoF'er for sure.

That's what James Neal was supposed to be too the Flames when they signed him. He had just played in the finals 2 years in a row and lost, Same as Hossa when he joined the Hawks.

Iginla is a sure thing. Not even a question. However how awesome would it be to see Theo get in with Iggy

Personally, I'd hate to see this. I'm pretty sure my thoughts on Theo are well known here, but I think he would make the weekend all about himself, and not how him and Iggy, arguably the 2 more iconic Flames, got in together as Flames.

Iggy first, deal with Theo later.

No question about Iggy and HOF.

It’s criminal he wasn’t included in the NHL top 100.

I don't see that at all. He was at Iginla's jersey retirement and he made that all about Iggy.

Theo spoke very highly of Iginla in his book.

Not having Fleury in the HHOF by now shows how closed-minded the NHL really is.

Iginla obviously should be in the HHOF. One of the best players of the post Gretzky/Pre Crosby era of hockey. For a five year period of 2000-2005 he was the face of the league, he was talented but also marketable to a wide audience. I feel fortunate to have been able to watch him play.

As for Fleury his time will eventually come, but the old boys club that controls the league has a long memory. He has been able to rejuvenate his image to a large degree but whether it will be enough in the near future is difficult to say.

A non Flames name though that I think is often overlooked is Steve Larmer, has a cup and has made the 1000 points that seems to be the benchmark (granted they are 1980s/early 90s points)
