This year's car isn't that great. It's well back of what McLaren and Ferrari have, and I think Mercedes will surpass them as they have been able to improve their car during the season. Stroll or no Stroll the team likely finishes 5th in the Constructors standings this season. Last year they could have made up a lot of ground early on as their car was the second best on the grid for the first third of the season.
Seen rumors that Stroll is really after Adrian Newey. If they can grab him, that might even things up a lot more in the top 5.

Sounds like Sainz I'd off to Mercedes. Well that's the rumor du jour.
Another rumor that fascinates me is Alpine up for sale. Does Andretti just buy Alpine and swap over to Cadillac? Would suck to see Renault go but really, there's other opportunities to return down the road if they can sort things out.

Part of that rumor includes a condition that the new team has to use Renault engines until 2029 in order to protect the Alpine engineers (including those working on the 2026 program). Not sure how rebranding Renault to Cadillac would work.

I’d say that one reason Aston Martin can’t make their car better is because Stroll sucks. He can’t give feedback. Alonso needs a foil to his feedback. So does AM.

It's sprint race week!
The sprint race format this year is:
FP1 - Friday
Sprint Race Qualifying - Friday
Sprint Race - Saturday
Real Race Qualifying - Saturday
Real Race - Sunday
Yes it's really dumb to have a sprint race at a track you haven't been in 5 years.

Not only that, but how many are going to be overly cautious to avoid binning their car during the Sprint, which would then potentially hamper their main Quali?
