UPD: Flames unveil retros as full-time jerseys; black-C jersey + flags remains as alt
The Flames have updated their Twitter account bio to read "Oct. 5 ��"
Based on what I have heard, I expect this to be an announcement regarding new uniforms. The Flames' branding has gone hard retro lately and I'd be stunned if this announcement is anything other than that. I think the black C will be retired for now.
I wouldn't expect any news about an alternate on October 5. I've heard that the Flames might be looking at one coming in for 2021–22 but that it's dependent on fans being back in the arena.

Would make sense - in addition Icethetics did mention that there is an alternate/fourth “throwback” jersey program where all teams will be getting a new jersey in 2020/2021.

With no ticket and concession revenue to start next year I fully expect all teams to introduce new jerseys to try at least capture more revenue jersey sales.

I have to say, I've heard from numerous people who think this is part of the plan sometime either this coming year or next. I've heard stuff about an alternate coming at any time ranging from this fall to 2021-2022. I have no idea. But the retros coming October 5 are locked in, and no, there will be no flags.
I would be all for Blasty, personally.
