I would sign the King, if only to make the constant joke that the Rangers are paying him more to not play for them than we are paying for him actually to play for us.

Last year I tried to make the constant joke that we were paying Michael Stone more to not to play for us than we were for him to play for us.

Can't imagine he will leave NY to play back up somewhere cheap, he's made a boatload of money in his career.

Actually Tampa could use a back up next year, barf.

It's more about their two young goalies that are ready for the NHL than it is about cap space. Hank was third on the depth chart, and they're not putting him in the AHL, and they don't want to carry three goalies again.

Call me disrespectful but Lundqvist has been washed up for a couple years now. I’m surprised the Rags did this to him at this stage but I’m sure if a team doesn’t sign him as a backup (if they have no legit young backup), there will be a position in the office for him.

He was an amazing goalie. His style was to sit back in his crease and use his athleticism, but time had caught up to him.
