Waivers open tomorrow, so if I'm understanding the rules correctly, Bartkowski can waived as soon as tomorrow at noon in order to send him down on Saturday. Not technically "cut", but effectively the same thing.

I expect both Bartkowski and Foo will stay up with the big club past Saturday. Bartkowski was given a long leash last year so don't think he'll be sent down yet. And tehy may want to get a longer look at Foo at this level.

I feel bartowski is essentially a lock for the 7th dman. Not a guy playing every night, just in case of an emergency/injury. At the same time a guy who is fine to sit in the press box not playing for stretches at a time.

My bet Bartkowski will make the team and will be the 7th dman.
There is no one on the AHL club that is pushing to take his place in my opinion.
Brett Kulak my guess is the #6 dman.
Next cuts
Defense
Oliver Kylington
Josh Healey
Colby Robak
Adam Ollias Mattsson
Goaltenders
Jon Gillies
Tyler Parsons
Forwards
15 - Spencer Foo
49 - Hunter Shinkaruk
59 - Dillon Dube
46 - Marek Hrivik
45 - Morgan Klimchuk
51 - Tanner Glass - PTO
88 - Andrew Mangiapane
17 - Luke Gazdic
56 - Ryan Lomberg
60 - Brett Pollock
62 - Austin Carroll
64 - Joseph Cramarossa - PTO

Wotherspoon very well may be a guy to keep as the 7th over Bart.

Not sure, Coaching staff is familiar with Bartkowski
Wotherspoon on the other hand seems to be further down the depth chart.
My guess he is one of the last cuts.

If the pairing of Anderson and Wotherspoon does a great job with the coyotes tonight they put themselves in a great position to stay up as the 6/7 after the dumpster fire pairing of Kulak and Bartkowski we saw

I like these PP groups they're practicing with:
#Flames power play:
PP1:
Ferland
Gaudreau-Monahan-Versteeg
Brodie
PP2:
Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik/Bennett
Giordano-Hamilton

Heck yes, no Brouwer. Try him out if Ferland isn't working but give Ferly a chance first.

Kris Versteeg's shootout effort on Eddie Lack in today's practice got everyone's approval.

PP is the one thing where Brouwer wasn't miserable last year though (along with 5 on 3 meat shield PKing)

Monahan will play Monday in Winnipeg according to the coach. 95% sure Tkachuk will play. #Flames

I guess he screened well. That's about it. Ferland can do that too.

Gulutzan says Bennett’s yellow jersey was because he was playing both sides of special teams. No injury. #Flames

Poirier update:
Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Tweaked something lower body. Nothing serious, team just being cautious. #Flames
Rebecca Orr
@rebeccaorr26
@Fan960Steinberg just wondering if you know what's going on with Poirier it was reported he left practice yesterday. Is he still there?
