The boys played well in front of Gilles tonight and for the most part they played smart hockey.

Foo number 2 star with two assists.

Graovac number 1 star with one goal and one assist.

Dube scored a big goal after the Eagles tied it at 2.

Valimaki looked very composed the entire game.

Fun game. Everytime I take my kids to see the Calgary Flames play in Colorado, Calgary has won.

Now I can say the same thing for the Heat.

Foo is making better decisions with and away from the puck, also looks really hungry.

Stockton wins 5-2 over Colorado. Gillies with 27 saves on 29 shots, Dube with 2 goals and 1 assist. 4 fights in the game, the crowd of over 5000 in Stockton must have gone home happy.

Liked what I saw from Dube in those highlights. Never heard of Stockton's Scott Sabourin before but he is a lefty who really enjoys fighting, won both of them and had a fun time doing it.

Heat win 6-3 last night.

Quine had a hat trick.
Gawdin had 3 assists.
Dube had an assist which brings him to over a PPG with 25 pts in 24 games. From the highlights below, he was setting up a lot of scoring chances.
Valimaki also had an assist for 6pts in 9 games.
Gillies made 31 saves on 34 shots.
Phillips scored a goal which breaks a 15 game goalless drought

Stockton loses again, badly outshooting Ontario but with no results.

Another 3 points for Quine though.

Maybe he can be a deadline rental in disguise. He is slaughtering the AHL so far this year.

Where would he play though? Hell Czarnik just got back in the line up and has three goals in three since his return.

Great depth option to have.

What is the limitation with Quine? He looked just ok in Calgary but is obviously more than that at the AHL level.

Any of our Stockton watchers have an opinion on whether he is simply a tweeter or still a prospect?

Mangiapane outworks Quine in the defensive zone, and Quine isn't better than anyone in our current top 6.

That's why Mangiapane is playing a bottom 6 role with the big club.

I know Treliving is the one who makes this move, but I believe this is a Bill Peters preference.

No doubt Quine is better than Mangiapane offensively though.

I don’t think EatBread is better defensively, he just meshes better with Hathaway and Ryan, one reason Quine is not with the big club.He had that brutal turnover in his last game in the NHL though.

I looked at the score of the Stockton game after the Flames game ended and got sad because it was 1-0 San Jose in the 3rd.

Check again and it's a 4-1 Stockton final! Although they had 2 empty netters. Looking forward to the highlights.

Default Stockton Heat 2018/19 General Discussion

Valimaki with an assist, Dube with 2. I believe Dube is one of 3 AHL rookies producing at or over a ppg level. 2016 #8 draft pick Alex Nylander has 25 pts in 44 games, Dube has 27 in 26 and he was drafted 56 in the same draft. Dube’s AHL production has to be seen as a huge success by Flames management.

I'm very happy all of Dillon Dubé, Matthew Phillips, and Juuso Välimäki remain in the Flames Organization.
