Schmidt with the giveaway and another goal for Montreal. Currently on pace for 36 goals in this one.

You have to admit, with how they play defense (or rather don't), Canucks games aren't boring.

Vancouver's shiny new defenseman Nate Schmidt just lobbed a pizza up the middle of the ice on the powerplay, and Montreal walks in and scores shorthanded. 2-1.

Miller might be one of the most consistent players in the league

Without that trade its scary where the team would be

Four goals in the first seven minutes. Three on Vancouver powerplays.

So, all three of those new defensemen of the under 10 combined games of NHL experience are now on the Canucks' penalty kill. Which was already terrible.

I swear, they're tanking. It's the only explanation for this.

Well the Jackets might as well trade him tomorrow because that's just going to get even more toxic than it already is. There's cutting back a player's time and then there's being a jerk just for the sake of being a jerk.

The dubious advantage the Nucks have right now is their defense is making stupid mistakes, I mean incredibly dumb arse stupid plays which a coach aught to be able to fix, they just look confused most of the time

Right, because as we all know, the old adage is that you can fix stupid.

... Wait, no, that doesn't sound right.

Say what you will about Torts, but he rarely does anything "just to be a jerk"

Edit - both the Edmunson and Myers penalties were big guy on little guy calls. Not a fan.

Dubois absolutely deserved to sit the rest of the game. That was embarrassing.

For those of us not watching, was he just not trying or what was the issue?

Yes, lack of effort. Completely stopped on the forecheck and let the Tampa player take the puck.
