Game 6, the Blues come back in dramatic fashion (in OT) to tie the series at 3-3. The Monday night miracle, what a comeback that left Flames fans stunned.

I remember how my Dad had to go to Calgary on a business trip at the last minute, or so he claimed. He bought a ticket off a scalper for $35. Game 7 Conference Final...$35 when the anthems started. Left my brother and I at home because we had Baseball that night. I remember him calling us after the game from our Aunts house.

Game 7, the Flames were excellent on the PK going 4/5. They hung on for the 2-1 victory in reg time to win the series 4-3! My father said that after Beers scored the Blues goal, it was the longest 2:03 of hockey to countdown.

I was at that game , my dad had a 1/3 share at that point so was one of the few- possibly the only- I was able to attend in person

yep the PK was great that game- Bozek was particularly memorable as I recall

5 players in the lineup for the Blues that night ended up winning the Cup with Calgary 3 years later which is staggering to consider (Ramage, Gilmour, Hunter, Nattress, Wamsley) plus all of the other Calgary /ST L connections in that series (Mullen, Beers, Lavallee, Bourgeois, Wilson, Sutter, Johnson, Cavallini, Bozek etc etc)

(in fact 5 Blues dressed were dressed for the Flames in the Forum on cup night 89 versus 8 Flames (Vernon, Macoun, MacInnis, Mullen, Patterson, Otto, Loob, Lanny) nearly even! (Hunter , Peplinski, Suter obviously also on both clubs but didn't dress is one game or the other or both)

Robin Bartel was Brennan Evans before there was a Brennan Evans

It's game 2 and the bummer was Skrudland's OT winner that took 9 seconds. The Flames had a 2-0 lead before Chris Nilan interfered with Vernon and Gingras scored.

Then Lemieux interefered with Tonelli that led to the OT goal. Van Hellemond was the referee and many fans have said he must have been watching something else when those 2 goals happened.

Highlights to all the goals in english.

The next two youtube links are in french. There you go hwy19man.

The Habs take a 2-1 series lead in this crazy game. They scored 3 goals in 68 seconds late in the 1st period. The Flames were ahead 2-1 in the period. Lemelin took over after Vernon let in 4 goals. There was plenty of rough stuff and fights towards the end of the 1st and 2nd periods!

Highlights to the game.

The game in its entirety in french. I know it shows Beliveau from an older SC Final, but, click it and it is the 1986 game.

Lots of penalties at the end of the game. Bummer that Lemieux scored the game's only goal midway through the 3rd period for the Habs to take a 3-1 series. The shots were only 24-15 in favour of the Habs. I could only find a short youtube clip of the game.

Game 5
What a heart breaker

https://www.hockey-reference.com/box...605240CGY.html

The 2 quick goals by the Habs midway through the 3rd period looked like that would be it, but, the Flames aggressive comeback came up short. Amazing save by Roy in the final 15 seconds to clinch the series and the Stanley cup. Being a little kid (5 years old), my parents consoled me as I cried to bed knowing the good guys lost.
