Too bad that stupid mistake from Max cost us seeing a 6 way fight.
As competitive as this season is, it is too bad that aero turbulence, engine temps etc prevent actual passing even when the cars are close. This track doesn't help.
Otherwise I thought it was a very entertaining race. Didn't know for sure Vettel would hold on with his steering issues. Hopefully this is a sign Ferrari will stay competitive untill the end. Sure looked like the Mercs were pulling away for a few races there.
Alonso is a beast. 6th in that awful McHonda with fastest lap. I hope they either figure things out in 2018 or he finds a more competitive team.
God I hope Kimi wins a race at some point. Guy deserves it. Too bad it didn't happen at Monaco.

I had a chance to scratch off a life long wish off my list a few weeks ago, and finally attend a F1 race in person, at the Hungarian GP.
On one hand it was hell on earth. Hot as balls (probably around 35 degrees), everything was 5x the price it should be, and it absolutely packed with people (probably over 100,000). On the other hand the atmosphere was fantastic and the chance to walk on the track and see the pits was really neat to see. What was also a nice bonus was the F2 and Porsche Cup races beforehand.
The race itself was a bit of procession with Ferrari dominating, but it was nice to see Alonso getting a solid result.
No matter where, I would highly recommend attending a race if you get a chance. The race itself is almost secondary, it's the atmosphere that really makes it worth it.

Currently watching a 2.5 hour delayed Q2, although I'm a bit behind, and Stroll is 5th. Excellent show from the kid in the wet.

Hamilton sets the outright poll record and Stroll will start next to him!
Lucky that it's due to RB penalties but whatever. Amazing run in the rain from the kid. Youngest ever on the front row.

It was pretty awesome how much coverage Stroll got during that race. Lots of buzz around him. And I like how he fended off that late attempt unlike that other race where he lost 2nd in the last lap. Good for his confidence.

MotoGP teams are saying the F1 cars have so much downforce they are ruining the surface at shared tracks like Silverstone and Spielberg, among others. Downforce is so high they actually push the Tarmac creating bumps. And it'll only get worse year to year, requiring frequent resurfacing.

I must have missed the article you wrote when they first announced the new F1 technical regulations two years ago.

Lap 1 of Singapore and I think this'll be the moment we look back and say Ferrari lost the championship.

Yup, that was something else...
I just got back from Europe and had a stop at Spa and the Nurburgring(and F1 track). Was pretty cool to see! I'll put some pics up when I get a chance. Not as awesome as seeing an actual GP, but I had fun.

Thoughts on Stroll so far this year?
After a rough start, I think he's slotted in nicely with Williams.
I'd like to see him challenge for better grid positions in quali, but he doesn't seem to possess the one lap pace that others have.
Still not sure what happened between him and Vettel at the end of the race. I can't imagine that Stroll expected to be overtaken on the cool down lap.

Too bad Ferrari can't helping tripping over themselves the last few races. Now Lewis can clinch the championship at the next race in Austin.

Ferrari just can't help themselves. Maybe they can pull it together in Austin to atl least keep it interesting for a few more races. The good news in all of this is the resurgent Red Bulls. Good to have 3 top teams. Lance seems to have good and bad races, this was not a good one for him.
