I'm not buying the Jags winning the AFC South, as bad as it is. People are way too high on Oakland at the moment as well. This would be my list of top 10 teams in no particular order:

Panthers
Seahawks
Packers
Cardinals
Patriots
Chiefs
Bengals
Texans
Vikings
Steelers

I can easily buy the Cardinals winning it all and if the Bengals ever do put it all together, that matchup is a possibility...thats a BIG if however.

Nothing but my gut feeling is that the Panthers take a step backwards this season which means IMO the last 2 standing in the NFC are Green Bay and AZ....although Seattle is a strong possibility as well.

The AFC is way harder to figure out IMO. New England is impossible to predict with the suspension and so many question marks in other key areas. Signing Martellus Bennett may bring them back to the Gronk/Hernandez era of "who needs wide receivers or a running game anyway ?".

Cincy has everything they need to win it all, but again, can they put it all together?

Pittsburgh is getting WAY to much love IMO. Yeah they have the shiny toys on offense but that defense was not very good. Have they improved THAT much?

Denver is the complete opposite. Very mundane and below average on offense but were absolute beasts on D. Just wont win a lot of playoff games with a rookie QB tho. That Osweiler decision is still odd to me.

Oakland is a dark horse to me. They could surprise a lot of people this year.

KC is another one that could make some noise but history suggest otherwise.

Wide open in the AFC.

nfl.com released theirs last night.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ardinals-hawks

Much of the same. Lists the Panthers, Cardinals, Seahawks, and Packers as their top 4 teams.

Last year the playoff teams were
New England
Cincinatti
Pittsburgh
Houston
Denver
Kansas City

Washington
Minnesota
Green Bay
Carolina
Seattle
Arizona

Of those teams 5 didn't qualify the previous year. Since the NFL adopted the 12 team playoff format, I think there has only been a couple of seasons where at least 5 of the playoff teams weren't in the playoffs the previous year.

In the AFC I'd peg Indy, Baltimore, Oakland, Jets, Chargers as teams who might be able to knock out someone from last year.

In the NFC I guess the Giants or Cowboys could win a wide open Division. I guess any of the NFC South teams could potentially be a second wild card. Chicago was awful in the preseason, but John Fox always makes the playoffs in his second year.

Someone will surprise this year. I think the Ravens if healthy could be pretty good. They had a terrible run of injuries last year that derailed them. Oakland has lots of talent and hype around them. I still have my doubts about Del Rio being able to bring that whole thing together though.

Im always super optimistic about the Bears but not this year.

I feel they have made strides in the right direction but this year will be a long one. I think a 5 win, bottom 5 finish is about my guess

Cincinatti? Odd pick. I think New England, Pittsburgh, Denver and KC are all better. People are sleeping on Denver. Dangerous.

I think the Steelers are going to the Super Bowl this year. Probably with Arizona or Carolina. Green Bay has a pretty decent chance as well.

You can't objectively look at Denver's QB situation and not immediately brush them off. Yeah that defense is good but this league has shown it's insanely hard to be successful without a good quarterback and Denver's situation is one of the worst in the league.

Denver won the SB last year with one of the worst QBs in the league anyway, and when Osweiler was in he was basically league average or slightly below. So as long as Siemian or Lynch aren't horrible, they'll be decent. But they'll still take a step back this year, someone big on that D will get hurt and they'll be a good unit, but not an exceptional unit like they were last year.

I think almost any QB is an upgrade over Manning last year. He had no business being in the league last season. I'm not too worried about the rookies, especially if the run game continues to improve

By most metrics, Denver was a 9-10 win team last year. I fully expect them to regress to around the 8-9 win total this year. They'll still be good but I think KC leaps them this year.

As far as sleepers go I think the Giants are being undersold quite a bit. They were absolutely atrocious in the 4th quarter last year and easily could have had another 4 wins if they could close games out. That seems to be one of those things that balances out over time (luck being a big factor). I also like the changes they made to their defense. NFC East looks weak again so I think they'll win the division, and then of course playoff Eli is a beast so who knows, could see them in the Super Bowl.

I'm excited for this season. Today has taken forever to get here.

Broncos got the big win last year, and now have two unproven QBs leading them. Yes, lots of questions marks, but still have a great defence. Either way, going in with lower expectations, but will cheer for orange just as hard as ever.

How about some of the injured players coming back this year.

What do you expect from Jordy Nelson, Jamaal Charles, Arian Foster etc?

Jamaal Charles might not even play week 1, not looking good for him.

Watching the pregame stuff, Cam bugs me so much. Just walking around charming everybody, making them forget about how he's the league's biggest sideline sulker when things aren't going well. Fake ass charmer
