Remind me please, are the goalies going to get tired this year?

I can't remember if Grant was going to bring that back.

It seems like it to me. Mine lost 2 OV in one game facing only 32 shots.

Yeah they should tire more quickly this season. We can adjust if it ends up being too much, but if you give up a lot of shots your guy will get tired.

I gave up 35 shots and Smiths took a 3 CDN hit, so a word of warning to teams that giving up 35 shots can get you behind the 8 ball quickly

Might be a good plan to have two decent goalies. I, of course, don’t have even one.

It might be a little aggressive. A #1 goalie shouldnt tire out that quickly facing 35 shots.

Seems right to me, in previous years they would have been down 1 for sure. Let's give it at least 10 games or so before making any decisions.

no way...in recent years 35 shots wouldnt have registered with a goalie. 32 shots and 2OV? That means if you played him 2 in a row he would likely drop to unplayable levels and take 2 games to get him back to 100. Thats crazy

We put 45+ shots on Steve Mason (I lost by the way) and I see he is rated at 97 after Day 1. Yikes.

I based it largely on our historic shot totals but if we continue to see high shots games we will likely make a small adjustments.

Just an observation, we gave up 30 shots on day 1 and Dubnyk went down to 98, on day 2 we gave up 23 shots and he was back up to 100.

I honesty think things are working like they should. I don’t think we touch goalie ratings. I have used Rask every game so far, and my backup finally gets a game tomorrow. More than ever we are seeing the NHL use backups (except the flames).

Keep things the same. Changing ratings after the season has started isn’t right IMO.
