Bush League? Lol, the people on CP are fans of the NHL and not members of a league. If you can't enjoy stuff like this why even be a fan? Its like being against a player celebrating too much. This is the way Wilson plays, he was asking for it.

All three - including the blindside - were fairly clean hits. If you look at the third hit - perhaps the most controversial - Wilson had just done a qucik one touch pass.
So it's perhaps the hit is a bit late. But it's otherwise clean. Even if it wasn't late, Wilson is still watching the puck and still gets blindsided.
Would have been nice if the Flames could have signed Reaves last offseason, likely that would have meant that Neal wasn't signed and it would have given the Flames some toughness when playing teams like the Oilers and their cavemen, Lucic and Kassian.
Because getting past the unskilled knuckle draggers is what is stopping us from first overall in the division.
Oilers are where they are and we are where we are becuase of philosophy.
I'll agree that we don't want those kind of hits in the league, but I will also agree that Wilson deserved it. Contradictory statements, on the surface yes, with context, no.
Maybe Wilson will dumby up.

This was just an F350 running into a loaded dump truck at high speed.
Reaves 3rd hit was moderately dirty, but the outcome was amplified by his size. Wilson is too used to rampaging around, and he isn't prepared for a much bigger bully to come take him on.
Oilers fans on HF boards were actually hoping for Johnny's back to be broken on that boarding non-call in the last game. I kid you not.
If anyone on HF was hoping for that I can't see it being more than one or 2 people. and there are a few fans here who have stated they hope mcdavid gets badly hurt, too.
every fan base has jerks like that.
Bax, I think people are calling them clean because they were not cheap shots to the head. appeared to be shoulder to shoulder. the hits were to punish, not to injure.
Never want to see anyone take irreversible brain trauma, but you have to appreciate the poetic appropriateness of Wilson receiving the exact kind of borderline hits he's been dishing out. Any argument in defense of his hit on Seney applies just as much here.
