That was a goal scorer's shot right there.

Cheer for the right team and you’ll be fine.

So I’m confused. I thought Monahan was only good at tap ins.

He was a strong day-to-day NHLer in the past, and then had a major injury that derailed things. But he's healthy and outside of the typical "callup shakeyness" gaffe here or there he looked strong and ready to be a major contributor.

Random question, but why does Sportsnet telecasts always have the colour hue changing randomly within the game. It was orange all period (and usually is), and late in the period, shifted to a more natural, blue-ish hue.

Not the most exciting period. Flames seem a bit too tentative and reactionary, playing how the Leafs want to play, not dictating play at all. Need to make the Leafs react to them from here on out, they can be much better.

Yeah that was an insane snipe by Hamonic

Not a good 1st half, but a solid 2nd half of the period.
I'll take it.

Man these Leafs fans are driving me nuts but the silence of my fellow Flames fans bugs me even more. I tried to start a Go Flames Go fan and the lady a couple rows in front of me shot me the dirtiest look, and she's wearing a Flames jersey!!!

He's worked so hard to get to the league in the first place, surviving cancer and all and has worked hard to stay in it, I wish nothing but the best for him. I agree he's looked like a solid bottom pair NHL defenceman in the past, and he's young enough I think he can return to that.

Who would you take out? If you say Stone, sure, that's fine. Other than that I don't see him being a better option than any other d-man on the team.

A lady gave my son a dirty look for chanting at a Flames game once too. I hate people so much

I used to blame those fans but I don’t anymore.
If idiot Leaf fans want to pay a huge premium to go to the game then they might as well profit a bit and make some of their season ticket money back.
It’s 1-2 (Montreal) nights a year and sometimes I feel like both teams are more into since there is more energy in the building overall.

If it's any consolation, my section is rising to the challenge pretty well. I'm not planning on having a voice much past the second.
