In those days, you didn’t have the camera angles, HD screens and social media to rush to immediate judgment so Peplinski had to rely on the officials. According to reports, he showed the bloodied bite mark to referee Denis Morel.

“How do I know you didn’t do it to yourself?,” Morel told Peplinski.
