Someone is eventually going to deal with vegas. Both winnipeg and xanucks know this - so they got assets to help themselves. They dont care about others teams. Well dobe jets and canucks. Solid moves.

That’s too high a cap for Calgary. Vancouver is using the money they were saving for OEL.

My guess is because it helps their teams. When you can get top line players for nothing it helps your team and that is the team that you are responsible for. Too bad, I was hoping Jim would panic and get OEL, Schmidt is actually a good hockey player.
