Like i said in the Brodie thread, you don’t really replace Brodie, you just change the makeup of the D. Tanev is a good defensive Dman so you don’t miss a lot there. And he has some offence - 20 points in a non-offensive role.

Tanev is almost 31 and has never played more than 70 games in a season.
A lot of the Canuck fans seem to like Tanev. I wouldn't say it's an overpayment, but I doubt this contract ages well.
