The one thing I don't get, if theses are branches, they clearly let these timelines get pretty out of control before pruning them. There's time for a dozen completely different Loki to grown up before being pruned, that is not maintenance of a tight timeline.
My thought is maybe the are pruning convergences in different timelines. Sylvi started behaving too much like Loki should have been behaving and her timeline started converging towards 199999. So the pruned her and kept it further away.
Or it just doesn't make sense and we'll leave it at face value.

Well that was fun, nice to see Lady Sif. Really did not expect our two male leads to get pruned. The after credit was interesting some very comic accurate looks, all be it looks separated by decades.

Or a Loki where he and Thor reversed roles. Or a Loki with some kind of anti-Mjolnir?

The three at the end are credited as Boastful Loki, Kid Loki, and Classic Loki. Gator Loki doesn't have a credit.

First of all, dial back the reverb on the timekeepers. Had to turn on subtitles.
Secondly, that was the most shocked and saddened I’ve been by a death in a story in a long time.

I wonder if the TVA Villian is going to be a Loki variant. There would be neat symmetry in Loki being the hero, love interest, maguffin, allies, rival and Villian in the same show.

Still liking my theories of where this is going. Post credit scene seems to indicate council of Lokis is coming to fruition.

Yeah, I was a little confused with that as well. How can there be multiple versions of Loki if there is only one, sacred timeline? Also, how do events (eg. nexus events) just happen in real-time, when they time travel? Fixing events in time is like fixing a painting that's already completed; there is no rush as it is one complete system.

I was thinking the same thing. Must be a Wolverine reference some how.

So none of it actually makes sense as it’s soft sci-fi fantasy with time travel. Don’t think too much and enjoy it
However here is my thought process on how the TVA and the sacred timeline would function
Every time any person makes a decision a separate slightly different universe is created. Not all of these produce meaningful nexus events. They make a comment about the threshold for nexus detection being able to be set by the TVA. So what the Sacred timeline actually is millions of universes eon the same track. It’s like a piece of yarn made up of millions of smaller strands. When a decision by a person is significant enough to cause a meaningful divergence on the timeline which eventually would cause the creation of a new piece of yarn they intervene and it’s pruned.
So in the course of constructing the sacred timeline you probably started at the end of time and went back and pruned any events that were causing these outlier strings to be created which would then cut any other yarn strings that were created. This was a mass genocide to ensure the TVA would be dominant at the end of time.
Once the timeline became stable it’s only time travel events that could upset the timeline. But the question would be when do the time travel events affect the future and I think that would be when they reach the nexus threshold. At that point all of the affects of the new yarn creation would propagate forward in time because that change could no longer converge back to the sacred time line.
When that happens the other string may not result in the TVAs existence which could result in a multiverse war and the timekeepers may not win.
Probably lots of holes in that but it allows for a multiverse within the Sacred Timeline provided all outcomes in those multiverse result in the creation of the TVA.
