Another one. This for the fans. Next time we play the Flames here converge in Ford Hall and area and REFUSE to go through ticket kiosks. Just wait there with placards saying fans will attend the game once its decided that actual calling of the rules on the ice is committed to by NHL officials. have full press in attendance and stage a fan lockout for 30mins or however long it takes. It really is going to take something extraordinarily novel, and blatant, for any attention to really get to this.
Going back over the summer its very apparent the Oilers really handled this all the wrong way. They minimized concern, maintained that McD is OK. The Oilers would have done better to make the NHL stew in juices all summer thinking that this WAS a career ending McDavid injury. Which the Oilers could easily have maintained. The last game of the season injury really was the perfect time to stage that this was far worse than it turned out to be. But the Oilers thought only of selling seats.. Here we are..
The org is handling this all wrong. The Oilers are far too polite and deferring in these matters. Its time to take off the gloves

sigh yet the Oilers played infraction free hockey of course (other than an unequivocal over the glass) . frick whether they missed 2 minutes on Gio or not- this is absurd

The same guy who made sure Lindholm could not intervene in Kassian's attempted assault on Tkachuk?
Between this and the Gagner attempted hit it really is hilarious to see Oilers fans thumping their chests and claiming the moral high ground against that dirty rat Giordano.
The whole fanbase is just so ridiculous.

I love how Oilers try to cling to some moral high ground, as if it distracts from the fact that they can't win a game, on home ice, after getting back to back power plays.

Back to back to back, and after scoring a powerplay goal.

So let me get this straight. Gio should be suspended for *almost* kneeing McDavid?
Nevermind the fact that it's more of a shin or ankle than a knee.
Maybe it should have been a penalty for tripping or interference but there's no way that's even close to kneeing. His knee is literally facing AWAY from McDavid.
So how come so many people always pile on Crosby for being a whiner but not Mcdavid?
This really annoyed me in Brian Burke's discussion Thursday afternoon on Tim & Sid's show.
When the topic turns to Giordano's clip on McHobo, Burke makes a point of valourising Mr. Wonderful starting @ 04:16:

What a lot of revisionist historical nonsense. I like Brian Burke, but I hate how willing he is to overlook obvious and repeated instances of McBaby's well worn pattern of whining that he gets away with because of his stature within the sport.

The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!
