I get that like 40% of his points come from the line, but this is still a crazy stat. You'd think even by accident he'd fall into an assisted basket at some point.

That is indeed nuts. I guess it simply means he's creating his own opportunities, which is what you want in a player.

How is that even possible? That's crazy.

Well that and he just never gives up the ball to have it passed back to him.

So Anthony Davis requests a deal from New Orleans. I'd shudder to think what the cost would be but if it's a sign and trade, I'd hope Masai is making the call right now. Siakam and OG and a 1st? Only if he signs, then the Raps become perennial contenders with or without Kawhi resigning.

Not sure that would be enough to land him.

Yeah, I don't think it will, though it doesn't hurt to make an offer. I think the Pelicans probably want a potential franchise player out of it, and Siakam, as great as he is, is more complementary player than franchise player. I think if the Knicks offered Porzingas, that would get the Pelicans' attention. Of course, Davis wants to go to a winner which would rule out the Knicks, but definitely their management would take a shot at trading for Davis, clearing out cap space, bringing in another star player, and then trying to contend next year while selling Davis on staying.

Pelicans aren't desperate to sell yet so there's no reason for them to do anything except wait until the summer and see what the Celtics look like and make a trade with them since they clearly have the most and best assets to get it done. Lakers are in desperation mode though so they might offer Kuzma, Lonzo, Ingram, Zubak and like three first round picks to get it done now and hope that lures KD/Klay in the summer. Raps just don't have enough to offer, at a minimum it'd have to be JV, OG, Siakam, VanVleet and some picks and that probably still doesn't get it done.

Except that he is 3rd in the league in assists.
Another fun fact, if Harden missed every single free throw he shot, he'd still be top 10 in scoring.
But Rockets need to get healthy so he can dial it back a bit. Unfortunately Paul's lack of dependability likely cost this team an NBA championship last year.

I read Doug Smith's blog today on Anthony Davis' chances of seeing him on the Raps and though in the past he seemed extraordinarily a homer and always took the politically correct road, on this blog he pretty much said the Raps have no chance and Davis probably wouldn't want to come here. Pretty well outlined. Would make for a crazy duo.

There's no way that was the best offer out there for the Knicks...
Doncic and KP could be a really strong duo for Dallas. Impressive by them.

No one wants to play for Dolan, so unless their strategy involves him dying in the next five months they aren't getting KD or Kyrie. Melo is available though.

If it wasn't the bright lights of NY, nobody would want to play for that owner. But ultimately money talks and you throw money and fame in a big market to a player and they will choose NY. My guess is Kyrie does go there, but I don't think KD can handle that pressure.

Man, Lowry sucked tonight. Could have won if he would have contributed anything.
