This is the first time I've been awake to watch the parade in years. Is the coverage always this amateurish or did they bring in these winners special this year?

I was at that show and don't remember them getting booed at all, let alone off the stage.
Big Wreck were just here a couple months ago (opening for Motley Crue) and although it did seem like Ian Thornley didn't particularly love Calgary, they put on a decent show. 90% of their set was new songs that nobody knew, but at least they sound pretty decent live.

Attendance for the parade had to be down this year. I was at our spot just around 5:15 am and there were still prime curbside spots open in our area at 7 - that never happens. Usually the whole block is filled by 6:30 or so.

I had the chocolate dipped jalapeno yesterday. You don't even notice the chocolate.
Anyone know where I can find the cochinita pibil?

All the big concerts at the dome were cancelled, thousands are still working to fix their homes, tourists likely changed their plans after seeing the damage from the floods. It's not really a big shock that attendance is down
