Default Used records (vinyl)

Just wondering if anyone has a clue as to what to do with a used record collection. I have about 100 records, at least 35 years old, original Beatles, Raphie, Boney M, Phil Collins, just the most random collection from the parental units that I'm looking to get rid of. Someone told me there's value in them so I'm not really sure how to go about selling.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Melodiya, Hot Wax and Recordland buy used vinyl, but I don't imagine they pay much.

^^^ what troutman said. They will buy them, but don't expect to hit the jackpot or anything my guess is you get ~$50-$100(for the lot) depending on the albums and condition

Vinyl records are not difficult to price. Not usually.

That's because there is a handy serial number etched into the vinyl that identifies it.

This serial number combined with a simple internet search can help anyone determine the value or price of a vinyl record.

Enter the vinyl record serial or matrix number into the search engine above to compare listings and determine a price or value.

You may also input the name of the artist, the album or any other identifying feature of the record.

Search for vinyl record prices here :

I saw Abbey Road was being offered for $6, and Rumors for $3. A used record store won't offer you that much.

You could make a donation to MattyC's Vinyl Pile if you would like. All proceeds go to...uh....my pile of vinyl records....

Put the list up on Kijiji. I bet you'll be surprised with how much interest you get. I have a friend that would probably buy a bunch.
