A Calgary production company has cleared a major hurdle in an ambitious plan to launch three specialty TV channels that will focus on movies, crime and the supernatural.
Larry Day, president of Pyramid Productions, said the Canadian Radio-Television Commission granted his company the three licenses earlier this summer. He hopes to start selling the channels to satellite and cable companies by the fall to be made available to viewers through subscription.
“We have to convince distributors to put us on the air,” Day said. “We’ve already put together some tentative schedules. We’ve put together business plans for the three channels and an operating plan. . . . It’s new territory for us. But it’s sort of part of our long-range thinking about what we’d like to do.”
I can never forget seeing him in person for the first time, it was in the opening night madness for Terminator 2 and he was soooo tiny and even worse he brought a book with him to read in line!

Tiny? You must be a giant then because he's not that small of a guy haha. I've had the privilege of working with him a couple times before and by no means is he "tiny". Bringing a book for a lineup sure does sound like him though so you couldn't have mistaken him for someone else.

Whenever I'm watching tv, flipping through the channels and such, and I stumble upon a Pyramid produced show I always think "Well, this show looks like it was cheap enough and Canadian enough that the station saved money by airing it."
