Darryl Sutter is bad at coaching
Some tough love for the guy like loves to dish it.
The old goat needs to learn how swap a goalie right (not in the 3rd when the game is out of reach), or call a time out (rarely or never does), or play the right players when you're trying to tie a game late (fourth line guys routinely out in the final minutes of crucial games, because sending a message is more important than tying the game). Then forcing Huberdeau and Kadri together when Huberdeau and Lindholm clearly had chemistry going, and still hasn't paired the two.
Don't care about his accolades, this guy's been terrible since last year.

We need more threads about Pierre Pagé. Can we change this thread to be about Pagé? He was a pretty bad coach.
OMG no one talks about Pagé these days. Mods can I suggest we create a poll here for whether or not people want more Pagé related content on this forum?

Oh i effing hate Pierre Page so much! Fired Dave King because he couldn't win a playoff round to give it to Page who couldn't even make the playoffs.

Peter Page took until the 11th game to win for the Flames. Was there ever a Flames coach with a worse start?
If it wasn't for Gary Roberts putting the team on his back, he never makes the playoffs.
In 8 NHL seasons, he never wins a single round of the playoffs.

Darryl is a great coach with a big heavy team that is not the most skilled group but will hang out in front of the net and bang away at everything that moves. Darryl is a terrible coach for a team built on playmaking skilled players who think more offensively than physical and defensive. It's like asking the Harlem Globetrotters to play fn rugby. It isn't going to work.

I'm in favor of a fresh direction. Andrew Brunette. If they get lit up we get a better pick. If it works like it did for Florida than good. If there's still problems then you know Huby and Kadri are the problem. Move Sutter into some other role so your not just eating the money if it makes Edwards feel better.

i'd imagine it is not that easy ad i'd assume his contract has some provisions around what is pretty much a dismissal - but what do i know, as i have never seen a contract for an NHL coach
