The solar storm created havoc at work last night, drilling was shut down on quite a few rigs until it passed.

I've spent three hours alone in the middle of nowhere northeast of Cochrane next to the two working oil rigs to catch a little green. And here you go, she was dancing all over Calgary from 3am to 6 am visible from pretty much anywhere and I didn't wake up... Story of my life...

a local news webpage here in kelowna is saying there is a good chance for northern lights tonight... so if we can see them here then i'm sure calgary would see them too!
of course our forecast is for snow tonight - ugh!

It seems like there is a high potential for NL tonight. Anybody have any idea if these clouds are meant to burn off? Some reports on twitter are saying it’s the strongest geomagnetic storms in 20 yrs. It would be cool to see them again, it’s beens been a while since I’ve seen them.

We managed to see a big river style display that was flashing in and out. Sooooo cool. I woke my boy and he managed to see that. He was so stoked
