I didn't think it would make that of a difference, but with the hot water tank in the basement and taking quite a while to get hot water in the upstairs showers I figured why note. I was quite surprised what a positive difference it made. Of course replacing the hot water tank a couple years later made a bigger difference because the original tank thermostat was off I guess.

I might do it anyway since I have an unfinished basement and they are exposed. May as well.
Then I can pat myself on the back for saving the planet.

Not so fast, there, Captain Planet. Insulation is made from petrochemicals. Maybe wrap them in sea sponges?

If you got back and think about it, Captain Planet really had the opportunity for a hell of a 'Rogue's Gallery' that seems like it was underutilized.
Like, just off the top of my head, Smog Man, The Chlorofluorocarbon Kid, Greta Thunberg, the Petrol Patrol...so much Gold to mine there.

A significant portion of the fibreglass insulation sold in Alberta is made from recycled beverage bottles.

I meant the closed cell foam pipe wrap stuff. I knew someone was going to bring up fibreglass!

Blows me away how many people have to get it done during prime time and will wait 2-3 cars in line (20-40 mins+) to do so. I've driving in to them during prime time before and if I can't be the next one in line at one of the bays, I'm gone.
Go in the evening and you can almost always drive right in.

Apparently a new neighbour is moving in. 12 hours in she’s been screaming #### like a banshee every second word at 11 at night and shouting #### while picking up some of her belongings out of my other neighbours yard.
This is going to be such fun.

My little buddy (grandson) had surgery on Friday and has some post-op issues (had tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy/bilateral myringotomy) - he's dropping his oxygen saturation down into the mid 70% range, so they've kept him in hospital from Friday and he'll be staying again tonight. We popped in quick today to check in with them (him, DIL, son) and he's been running a fever now too, since last night.
I am starting to worry a titch, just hoping this all settles down by tomorrow so he can go home.

I don't see $4 anywhere, anymore even during happy hour. It seems more like $6 is the absolute low end (during happy hour other specials, and the standard domestic or medium type beers are $7-$9.
Sometimes you can get a house brand absolute swill for $5/6, I guess.

I went to a pub on Saturday and I think a 22oz beer was $7.20.
It may have been 20oz, not sure.
