Heat don't play again until the second round... so some time next week.

Maybe Werner as a practice goalie?

He will be a practice goalie to give Markstrom a break from some of the more tedious drills, from a goalie perspective, I’m sure.

Better than playing an EBUG if it comes to that.

The Heat will live and die with Wolf, so I guess it doesn't really matter who his backup is.

I'm cool with this. Give Werner a taste of what the playoffs are like while Wolf is in Stockton getting decent minutes.

Shortridge and Chechelev both got a game in at the end of the season. Remains to be seen who backs up Wolf.

None of these things matter, since the Heat aren't playing this round. By the time they do play, I expect Werner will be back in Stockton.
