I once sat next to him a flight to Toronto and got up the courage to ask what he was thinking in that photo.

He was kind of lost for words and just said "relief"

BTW, he said he has a framed shot of this pic of this at home

Any idea as to how they will reveal the jerseys? Will they have current players modelling them? Or simply just pictures of the jersey?

Don't think this teaser was shared on the forum yet. It looks like the Flames are changing the lettering on their jerseys.

"Calgary is dropping something they've had for a while, the lettering for the name will no longer be in italics. The Flames have used italics for their player names for 22 years, since the 1994-95 season."

Wow. This club really is tone deaf.

I don't get it. What possible reason would fans have to upgrade / buy a new jersey now?

No words. This organization is out to lunch when it comes to design.

It's actually almost hilarious. Hopefully they tease the Calgary flag and pedestal next.

When it comes to design you get what you pay for.

If there was time for another tease you just know it would focus on piping.

Okay. Enough Is enough. I've defended the flags on our current set but it's a 10 year old set (even have a few authentics - and love them) but this is enough.

This adidas redesign was a chance to create something new, something special like when the '04s were introduced. I didn't necessarily want retros but something new. This is unbelievable. Of all the concepts we as a team could come up with, we're going back to using flags?? This just screams laziness and lack of creativity. *sigh*

Haha of course they're keeping the Alberta flag, and they'll probably add extra piping to boot.

The Flames office just seems to have this contrarian streak when it comes to make design decisions, and this mind boggling need to stay contemporary. I guess we're not an original six market, and Calgary is still a young city... so the uniforms better look like something those darn teenagers would be into.
