Inspired by the 5 most popular CP posters

When I joined almost 20 years ago, it was a different community. I used to post as much as The Scorpion (that's not a bad thing).

I loved talking and debating about hockey, the NHL and of course the Calgary Flames.

I'm more of a lurker now but still go on CP daily. Throughout the years, I have used CP for many things (Slava for my financial needs, Troutman, EVERLAST, etc). Bought many Flames tickets and even played ball hockey with some of them (Nabber, The Scorpion, Slava, AC, etc)

But what happened to some of the OG? Anyone know what the following posters have been up to?

Cowperson: I think he's in his golden years so probably retired and relaxing somewhere nice. He used to post the most out of any poster (I think).

Snowdude: When I started CP, he got in $hit for making up a rumour (I think it involved Roman Turek and the Blues). He said his source (John Davidson) told him a scoop. It ended up being a lie and I'm sure he apologized

KevanGuy: I still see his posts but its pretty rare nowadays. I even worked PT with him calling charities and asking for donations. Great guy. I will always remember his thread about eating a bunch of Wendy's burgers

MMF: I know he's banned but came back with another alias. Can't remember what the name of his second account was but I think that one got banned too? He was such a bully. I never liked him and his debates always got personal. I'm sure he's mellowed out over the years so would be nice if he could return

Lanny Macdonald: Is he banned again after being allowed to return? He was just like MMF. Very aggressive and confrontational. But for some reason, I liked him but not MMF. Not sure why. Ha ha.

I'll add more if I can think of some. These 5 are just off the top of my head. Any other posters that don't really post anymore but had a long history on CP?

Let me tell you what I do know; every day, I come to CP and I post. And we argue, we have a few jokes, and a few laughs, and it's great. You know what the best part of my day is? It's for about ten seconds when I log in. 'Cause I think maybe I'll get here and I'll post and you won't be there. No goodbye, no "see ya later", no nothin'. You just left. I don't know much, but I know that.

my memory of MMF was mega snark, lots of short quips that pulled a ton of likes. I think I actually agreed with him most of the time, but there was some bad blood with the mods so it will probably be a long time before he could rejoin as himself.

Lanny is very different, more like walls of condescension in text form. he's still here and very active, though I don't know how long the gap was between his original incarnation and the New Era...era.

Moon I remember being super negative on the Flames all the time, something that would get him gangbanged if he was around today. Bertuzzied's ban is a mystery to me, I remember him being harmless (plus he is the father of Edmonton Is No Good, it doesn't get much bigger than that), so I'm just going to assume he got caught running a puppy meat factory or something.

My biggest memory of Cowperson was that he really hated Marc Savard and was very confrontational during the whole Savard/Gilbert thing.

MMF... never had the impression he was a bully or had issues with him. He was probably one of my favourite posters back in the day.
