NYI re-sign Joe Pavelski
The New York Islanders have completed a trade with the Calgary Flames. The Islanders receive $810,000 in cap for the 2022–23 season while the Flames receive $1.4 million in cap for the 2023–24 season. The Islanders now have exactly $7.5 million in cap space for 2022–23.
As a result, the Islanders have signed forward Joe Pavelski to a three-year extension carrying a $7.5 million annual cap hit.
With Pavelski in the fold, the Islanders now boast the following forward lineup:

Oliver Bjorkstrand (72) – Christian Dvorak (71) – Marcus Foligno (71)
